Matt St. James is a 2003 Churchville-Chili High School graduate. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2007 with a degree in Social Work.  As an undergraduate, Matthew was a top runner on the Cross Country and Track teams for four years.  He was out running every day, giving it his all, running for the glory of God.  On March 14, 2007, Matt was running at practice on the outdoor track when he had cardiac arrest with a brain injury as a result. After spending over 3 years at Monroe Community Hospital, he is now living at home. Matt has come a long way since that day. God is doing a mighty work in Matt.  This running event is to help with the medical expenses and assist his family purchase a wheelchair accessible van for transportation and a chance to come together and show our support to Matt.  As a group over the years of this race, we have reached our first goal of bringing Matt home.  Praise God!

Location:  Roberts Wesleyan College, 2301 Westside Drive Rochester, NY 14624

5K Run/Walk:  On the Roberts Wesleyan College trails at 10am

Walkers:  Will start at 10am as well.  Please line up behind runners.

Entry fee for 5K run/walk:  $15 per person pre-registration (before August 24th)

$20 per person after August 21st (sign-ups accepted day of race)

Note: Runners and Walkers who wish to collect pledges may do so and those who collect $50 or more your entry fee will be waived.

Awards in 5K: There will be awards!

The RWC Senior class of 2009 gave a gift to Matt; the Roberts Wesleyan College Cross Country trails have been Named in Recognition of Matthew St. James!  Come on out to RWC and see the sign!!

Participants that pre-register for the 5K/walk will be guaranteed a free T-shirt.  Those who sign up after pre-registration will receive a T-shirt as long as available.  T-shirts will also be sold for $12.

All participants will be asked to sign an Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk form found at the registration table. If participant is under 18, a parent or guardian will also have to sign.
